What Spokeo collects about you
Step-by-step guide
Find your profile on Spokeo
Go to spokeo.com and search for your name and city/state. Find the listing that matches you and copy the full URL from your browser's address bar (it will look like spokeo.com/John-Smith/California).
💡 Search variations of your name — maiden names, nicknames, previous cities — you may have multiple listings.
Go to the opt-out page
Visit spokeo.com/optout and paste the URL of your profile into the form.
Enter your email address
Provide an email address where Spokeo can send a confirmation link. This is required to complete the removal.
💡 Use a secondary/throwaway email if you're uncomfortable giving them your primary email.
Complete the CAPTCHA and submit
Solve the CAPTCHA verification and click the submit button.
Check your email and confirm
Open the confirmation email from Spokeo and click the verification link. Your removal won't process until you confirm.
💡 Check your spam/junk folder if you don't see the email within a few minutes.
Repeat for additional listings
If you found multiple profiles (different addresses, name variations), repeat this process for each one. Each listing requires a separate opt-out request.
Important to know
